Quarter Mile

Your work miles, logged when you get in the car.

The drive screen opens on your phone when it connects to the vehicle. Take a photo of the dash, say where you’re going, and tap once more when you get out. Every quarter you get a report with your miles, the IRS rate and the deduction amount, ready before the estimated tax payment.

Questions

Does it work on Android?
The drive screen works in any phone browser. Opening it by itself when you get in the car uses iPhone Shortcuts, so on Android you open the link yourself.
Does it track where I am?
No. It reads your location only when the drive screen opens, to name the place you’re at. Nothing runs in the background.
Is the deduction amount official?
It’s your miles times the IRS standard mileage rate. Which drives count, and what you can deduct, is for you and your tax preparer. The log is what they’ll ask to see.
What about receipts and other expenses?
Not included. This is a mileage log.
What if I need help?
Send a message from Settings inside the app. A person answers within a day, there and by email. Before you sign up, write to jacoblandrum92@gmail.com.
